About me

I am a 5th-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia. Before joining UVA in June 2022, I obtained my Master of Science degree in the ECE Department at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Chongqing University. I’m working with Prof. Homa Alemzadeh. My research interests lie in machine learning applications, especially Natural Language Processing (NLP). I am currently working on post-training tool-using LLM agents, multi-agent systems for question answering over electronic health records (FHIR), Synthetic Data Generation via LLM Agents, Knowledge-Enhanced Learning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and large language models (LLMs) for the medical domain. In summer 2026 I was an LLM research intern at Samsung Research America, where I built FHIR-GRAMS, a multi-agent system for question answering over FHIR health records.
